The Greatness of Our Constitution

Today is a world of innumerable paths. The ideals and variances in political persuassions are innumerbale. The world before the Founding of the U.S. had also seen many political systems. Yet, out of that era would emerge the single greatest system...

The balance of power would be at its core. The power of the federal government would be seperated from the state governments. The federal government would be seperated into the executive, judicial, and legislative branches. The legislature divided into the people's house and the state's senate (prior to the 17th amendment). The voice of the mases seperated by the state and district juridictions.

The brilliance of our constitution is the seperation or balance of power. Yet, here we arrive in the year 2008, and the balance of power has been corrupted. The federal government has usurped the power of the states. The corporate and special interest have usurped the voice of the people.

I ask you, "Why did the founders establish the separation of power?" It is because they understand that people, as individuals and as groups are corruptible. This is a Biblical principal. The Word of God teaches that man is fallen and nature, and left to his own devices, he will generally fall to temptation, cheating his way to money, power or fame.

The seperation of power is needed to keep fallen man in check. We need the accountablity and questioning of others. We need help staying on the narrow road. Pray this day. Ask God to help you, to help this nation. God help us to restore the balance of power. Help us to remove coruption in the land.

God save the U.S.A.
