Fighting Obesity with Obesity

You've heard it a thousand times, "You can't fight fire with fire". Apparently House Democrats and President Obama think they are Red Adair.

While Red proved there is at least one circumstance where the old cliche comes up short, I wonder if the Dems are considering the explosive and damaging consequences of his procedure. When Red used fire to put out fires, he literally blew the fire up to extinguish it.

Maybe this is what Democrats desire. It is certainly plausible that they will destroy the country and some number of people with their obese health care proposal. Have you seen the massive chart of bureaucratic paper pushing they invision to solve the inflamed health care crisis?

The Democrats' socialistic Health-Care Reform proposal fights obesity with obesity. While Americans are increasingly inflamed by bloated diets, a lack of exercise and other behavioral risks, the Democrats want to increase the size of government to fight the problem. The problem is not a lack of government programs. The problem is a lack of American's that are responsible for their own health. The problem is Americans that are increasingly dependent on entitlements, rather than their own good choices. The problem is a nation that is already dependent upon government, corporate, and institutional health subsidies.

No one can own your health for you. It is your responsibility. If you want the liberty to eat want you want; if you want the freedom to abort your own child and get in bed with whatever diseases you choose, DON'T ASK ME TO PAY FOR IT! Health is your choice and your responsibility. Adding a more obeseity to an already obese U.S. government and U.S. population will only create a greater explosion! If you want to fix the health care crisis in American, remove the bloated government regulations that are in the way, and let the people have liberty!

Patriotism Now in the Spirit of 1776

You will not believe the audacity of these folks. I pray it inspires you. A new era of Patriotism has dawned in America. While we were not previously lacking for political action groups, we were lacking for people in those groups. Now the number of groups, number of citizens involved, and the frustration level of Americans in rising exponentially.

Oh yes, we are a persistent people. We are a hard-working, industrious bunch, and we don't back down from what is right and true. A new day has dawned on these Sacred Shores. We will stand for justice, righteousness, and liberty. We will celebrate Patriotism Now in the Spirit of 1776. We will re-unite with the values and principles of 9-12-2001 and July Forth of 1776!

You're going to love our guests this week. These are common men that love America, and they have paused to render aid to our nation. They are willingly sacrificing their time, talent, and treasure to defend the liberties granted by the Hand of the Almighty to We The People.

Flushing Long Island Quakers

American History never ceases to amaze me. Pastor Bill Hart of Austin recently shared a bit of history behind a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, John Hart. John Hart descended from Edward Hart, the City Clerk of Flushing, New York in the year 1657.

It seams the Quakers of 1657 were offensive to the Reform Dutch Church of the day. While the powers that be took exception to actions of the Quakers and arrested them. The locals failed to find fault in these Men of God.

Ed Hart drafted and signed the Flushing Remonstrance in protest to the authorities. This act cost him his job and time in jail. Hart and others were punished for their convictions with jail-time, banishment, and/or other penalties.

Experts assert the Flushing Remonstrance is directly connected to the First Freedom listed in the Bill of Rights. The Flushing Remonstrance was commemorated with a Religious Freedom postage stamp on December 27, 1957.

The modern day equivalent of persecutors inside the Reform Dutch Church is the ACLU, along side of the AU and the Freedom From Religion bunch. These so called civil liberty lovers hate the public actions evangelical protestants. They hate it when evangelicals prayer in public, especially in the Name of Jesus. They hate it when the Biblical teachings on sin are espoused. They hate it when the little children are taught the Christian religion, and they hate it when schools have the audacity to prayer. The ACLU believes attempts to minimize evangelicals as quacks. And the ACLU would love flushing the quacks off Long Island and the remainder of the continent.

The battle over Religious Liberty in American, the battle for the very soul of a nation, rages yet today. Red Pill? Blue Pill?

"You take the blue pill, the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes."

Congressman Henry Waxman only offers blue pills, and you must swallow quickly. Representative Joe Barton is begging for time to peruse the Healthcare Reform Act of 2009. House Democrats plan to introduce and pass a bill impacting more than 20% of the U.S. G.D.P., while you’re still dreaming about how the wonders MJ.

I echo Representative Barton's call, "It is time to flood the Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121". The Democrats and President Obama’s administration apparently misunderstand our vocabulary. This time the word is transparency. While most consider government transparency to imply visibility; Obama apparently was thinking of invisibility while speaking his campaign promises. Obama, Waxman, and company do not want you or the U.S. House to see the blue pill of panacea they are about to ram down America’s throat.

Socialized medicine is coming to America unless you can quickly find the red pill. Taking the red pill is equivalent to swallowing the harsh reality that you are the biggest contributor to health care costs. Many Americans are choosing risky health behaviors, and that is choking our health care system. If My People ...

We speak the verse often. This coming Sunday is your opportunity to truly apply it.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. - 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Break it down with me ...

• If my people ... who are called by my name, and
• If my people ... will humble themselves, and
• If my people ... will pray, and
• If my people ... will seek my face, and
• If my people ... will turn from their wicked ways ... then ...
• I will hear from heaven, and
• I will forgive their sin, and
• I will heal their land.

That is the Word of The Lord. That is His promise. It is not an unconditional promise. His hearing, His Healing and His Forgiveness must be preceded by true repentance. Do you honestly believe those that do not repent will be saved? Do you think we can continue in the ways of man and the ways of the world, and receive His blessing? Do you think America will be healed, if she stays on the same moral trajectory and continues to distance herself from the Lord?
